I studied counselling, and did a psychology diploma too — but counselling was the better fit. I was never drawn to the diagnostic, medical-model side of mental health. I wanted the relational side. While studying, I was also getting deep into yoga and body work, and started noticing the connection between nervous system work and psychology.
That search led me to Somatic Experiencing and Dr Peter Levine's work — everything shifted from there, for my clients and for me. I've since trained directly with some of the world's leading SE teachers from the US and Europe, and I'm now part of the international training team myself.
I understand complex, developmental trauma beyond study — I've lived it. It's why people tell me, after years of therapy elsewhere getting nowhere, that two or three sessions with me shifted things.
What clients tell me most often isn't about technique — it's about how safe they feel in the room. I'm warm, direct, and I don't rush. I've done my own deep work, which means I can stay grounded and present with you even when things get hard. That's not something you can fake — it comes from having done the work yourself.
See how I actually work →"Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness."
